Resources & Tools
These are the tools, mentors, and simple extras that support my One & Done trading journey. The goal isn't to bury you in links, but to give you a clean starting point if you want to build a low-stress, one-trade-a-day routine and then get on with your life.
Less noise. Better tools. More freedom.Education & mentors
Trading is a skill. The mindset to take one trade and be done for the day took years to develop. These are resources that have helped shape how I see the market.
Trading Decoded (Jimmy)
The main influence behind my focus on price action, structure, and discipline. If you decide to follow him, feel free to tell him that Lewy from OneAndDoneSystem.com sent you.
- Live streams focused on teaching, not signals.
- Structure, levels, and real-time explanations.

Core trading books
A few books to support mindset, habits, and realistic expectations. Add your favorites here.
These should be books you actually like and use—quality over quantity.
Core trading setup
What I use day to dayYou don't need a NASA command center to trade one good setup a day. Here's the kind of simple setup that supports the One & Done approach without turning you into a full-time screen zombie.
Charting & broker
Use a charting platform that lets you:
- Watch SPY and QQQ on the 1-minute chart.
- View the NYSE $ADD line for breadth.
- Mark clean support and resistance levels.
Add your specific broker / chart provider links here (e.g., TradingView, Thinkorswim, etc.).
Screen & desk essentials
A basic but comfortable setup makes it easier to stay focused for that first hour or two of the day.
Keep it simple. The edge is your process, not how many screens you own.
Recording & journaling tools
I record many of my trades and log everything so you can see the real journey.
- Loom or screen recorder – link
- Google Sheets – used for my 60-day journal
- Notebook or physical journal – Amazon link
The goal is simple: one trade, logged clearly, and then you're done for the day.
Mindset & routine
Getting to a true One & Done mindset took time. I had to move from “chase every move” thinking to “one high-quality decision, then live my life.” These tools help support that.
Pre-market routine
- Review key levels on SPY.
- Check QQQ and $ADD for overall direction.
- Define one or two possible One & Done scenarios.
You can create a printable checklist for this and keep it at your desk.
Session timer
Most of my trades happen in the first 30 minutes of the day. I don't want to be married to the computer all day.
Set a hard stop for when you walk away, win or lose.
Mindset & affirmation tools
Trading is a lot of psychology. The commitment to be “one and done” is as much mental as it is technical.
- Simple daily affirmation card on your desk.
- Short morning routine (breathing, intention, prayer if that fits you).
- End-of-day review focused on learning, not beating yourself up.
I will be adding a One & Done affirmation PDF and desk card here in the future.
1× & Done gear (coming soon)
Visual reminders that you’re already done for the dayA lot of trading “merch” is about hype. I want the One & Done gear to be the opposite: calm, steady reminders that one good decision is enough.
Coffee mugs
A simple 1× & Done mug with an affirmation like:
- “One Trade. One Decision. Done.”
- “Trade Less. Live More.”
You'll be able to grab these once the shop is live. For now, use your own mug and your own reminder.
Shirts & desk cards
Light, simple designs with the 1× logo and a reminder that you're not chained to the market.
- One & Done desk card with your rules.
- Casual t-shirt with the 1× logo and tagline.
These will be added later as the project grows.
